Fun and friendly improv drop-in classes that are open to everyone.
Our summer drop-in classes are a bit longer than usual classes to give us a chance to go deeper together into the worlds of improv comedy and improvised theatre.
We’re just finalising teachers for these classes and will update the listing soon. The lovely Ed Fargher is taking the class on 14th August.
Each class has a different focus, with topics such as flexibility, listening, embracing spontaneity, playing characters, scene skills, telling stories, status, body language, teamwork and being in the moment.
Our style is based on characters and relationships that feel true to life and are grounded emotional connection. Some classes are geared towards improv comedy and others are more about spontaneous theatre – the two go together perfectly.
We find this playful, mindful style leads to moments that can be tender, human, surprising, funny, silly, joyful, hilarious and dramatic all at once.
If you’ve never done any acting or improvisation before, or if it has been a while since you took a class, don’t worry, each class is beginner friendly and we’ll give you a warm welcome.
We also have a show coming up in Ipswich on Friday 20th September. See our What’s On page for details.
If you’d rather start on a beginners course then you can join the waitlist for our next one here.
