In this course we’ll be  exploring character, space work, stage position (symmetry, depth, perspective) and working with a long-form piece that brings it all together.

The aim is to create scenes that look good, feel good and are inspired by what’s present, what’s true and what matters.

Our style of improv

The kind of improv we teach is about paying attention, being human, supporting each other, and turning ‘mistakes’ into gold.

When we play this way it creates beautiful, truthful, hilarious scenes.

Who is it for?

Anyone who has done improv with Here & Now People for six months or more.

There’s no performance at the end—this is just for the lucky people in the room!

• The Sprat Shed at Robertson’s boatyard (nice venue!)

Cancellations up to  7 days before the course are 50% refundable, and cancellations within 7 days of the course are non-refundable.

About the facilitator

Alex Menhams is the founder of improv school Here & Now People in Woodbridge, Suffolk. He teaches and performs improv across the UK and Europe and loves exploring the connections between humour, story, presence and play.
