Play the scene you’re in

Essential skills for confident communication in the here & now.

Every day brings fresh opportunities to build relationships with others.

The ability to be present, focused and grounded makes a real difference if you want to make better connections with other people

That’s what ‘Playing the scene you’re in’ is all about.

This highly interactive workshop is a space for personal development where you can explore ways of showing up that bring more aliveness, courage and connection into everyday conversations.

What you will learn

We’ll be using groundbreaking activities from the world of improvisational theatre (no acting required!) to create a learning space that is both playful and mindful.

The activities we use are imaginative, whole-hearted and fun, and taking part in this workshop will help you:

  • Learn to be a great listener
  • Connect with others using humour and generosity
  • Experience the benefits of staying present (even when you feel afraid)
  • Practice including others in their space
  • Make active choices in the moment

You’ll get practice skills you can use immediately, and we’ll explore some principles of improv, such as: making your partner look good, trusting your impulses, being willing to share control, and daring to be obvious.

There’s a lot of positive energy that comes from in being in the moment in a group setting, and we’ll use that energy to open up to more presence, connection and creative flow in our lives.

See our blogs for more info on improv-inspired learning.
