Improv and the Natural World

A weekend of improv inspired by nature with Katy Schutte. Spring it on!

Join Katy in exploring the creatures, structures and movement of the natural world in this improvisation workshop inspired by Mother Nature.

After a quick refresher on how to improvise and edit scenes, we’ll play in groups as dynamic flocks, find out what animals and plants chat about in duos and invent new and fun long form ideas and formats.

If you feel like being reinspired, using your body, noticing the natural world and having a bunch of silly fun, come and join us.

All improvisers are welcome, though we suggest participants feel confident in playing unstructured scenes.

If the weather is good we’ll do some stuff outside and we’re just a few minutes away form one of Europe’s most biodiverse woodlands.

Some lovely cyanobacteria. These dudes were the first organisms to produce oxygen from photosynthesis and helped to convert the oxygen-poor earth into the biodiverse spot it is today. Props!
